Aubrey is a first grade teacher at Brier Creek Elementary in Raleigh, NC. She is originally from Buffalo, NY and attended SUNY Fredonia and University at Buffalo. Aubrey moved to North Carolina in 2009 after graduating with her Master’s in Early Childhood Education with an Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Leading for Diversity. She is passionate about early childhood education and doing whats best for kids. Aubrey is a National Board Certified Teacher.
Aubrey was mentioned in Angela Watson’s Truth for Teachers podcast. In episode 11 Angela’s guests were the authors of Hacking Project Based Learning and they mentioned Aubrey’s work with her first PBL unit #PBLclouds.
Aubrey has presented at the North Carolina Science Teachers’ Association annual conference in 2017, the UNC Charlotte annual STEM conference in 2018, and North Carolina Technology in Education Society annual conference in 2018.
In her spare time Aubrey also enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, playing soccer, and reading.
